I don't think I can stare at the computer screen anymore. Today was spent posting some new photos, so now I'm more or less up-to-date. In my Yahoo albums, you can find the following new photos (in no particular order):
- miscellaneous shots taken in Helsinki
- my trip to Kuopio
- our cruise to Stockholm
- the Kiitos party
- meeting Gordon West and his wife, Katri Hagan
- our picnic on Suomenlinna with the '99 Finns
- my workplace, the STUK library
- our day in Tallin, Estonia
- 2 group photos
In between uploading photos, I did some baking. If you're looking for a pretty good brownie recipe - one that resembles the chewy two-bit brownies found in grocery stores back home - check this one out. They turned out pretty well considering the fact that I had some measuring issues. The measuring cup we have is only in decilitres so thank goodness for online metric-to-imperial conversion websites. If you do use this recipe, some helpful suggestions that I found in the reviews of the recipe include: use 3/4 cups of cocoa, 1 1/2 cups of sugar, a 1/4 cup of butter and a 1/4 cup of oil instead of the indicated amounts. I also added some chopped Toblerone, dark chocolate and some really good chocolate mint toffees from Brunberg, the awesome candy store in Porvoo.
